|How Do I Transfer Calls from my T-Mobile|
Number to an International Number?
It's simple. First you purchase a local or virtual phone number from us in the city and state that you desire. In the U.S. and Canada, the "North American Numbering Plan" allows only for ten digits in any phone number (area code + number). Typically, carriers in North America will not accept more than ten digits. So if you want to forward to a cell number in another country overseas, you will not be able to do so, unless you set up a virtual number. And that's where we come in.
When it's time to leave the country, you simply begin forwarding your T-Mobile number to "virtual" phone number that you have purchased from us. Our system, then, forwards calls to your international number overseas in Mexico, India, China, Israel, Europe - or wherever else in the world.
Manage "Ring To" Number Online
You have complete control via online account management as to "where" your virtual number will ring. You can easily change your "ring to" number via the web, 24/7. You simply login your account and change the destination number to any other landline or mobile phone number - in real time.
Not a VoIP Service
It is critical to highlight that this service is not a VoIP service (unless, of course, you specifically choose to route your calls from one of our virtual or toll free numbers to a VoIP or SIP device). Rather, it is an international call forwarding solution for those who demand reliability.
Calls routed over PSTN
The service is routed over the public switched telephone network (PSTN). The PSTN is the network of the world's public circuit-switched telephone networks, which includes mobile as well as fixed line telephones. It is the world's collection of interconnected voice-oriented public telephone networks, both commercial and government owned. Call forwarding services that route their traffic via VoIP can be subject to packet loss and therefore result in negative call quality. To the contrary, we will forward calls to the U.S. from international phone number over the PSTN.
